"PlanetZe" is a carbon-tracking Android application that helps users monitor daily carbon emissions from activities like commuting, energy use, and shopping. By tracking individual carbon footprints, the application aims to allow users to make meaningful, sustainable changes in their lives.
- Clone the repository:
git clone https://github.com/asadbmirza/Planetze-Mobile-Application.git-
Open in Android Studio: Launch Android Studio. Click on "Open an Existing Project" and select the project folder.

Setup Environment:
- Ensure you have the correct SDK version installed (e.g., SDK 24).
- Add your Firebase configuration file under
Planetze-Mobile-Application\app - Add required API keys to the
local.properties:- NEWS_API_KEY
- YOUTUBE_API_KEY
- Create a project called “PlanetZe”
- Go to API & Services -> Library -> Youtube Data API V3
- Add the API to the project
- Create a project called “PlanetZe”
- RAPID_API_KEY
- Run the App: Connect an Android device or use an emulator.
Click on the green "Run" button in Android Studio
