use Uow And Repository

Hi.
It has been argued in several discussions that the use of Uow and Repositories is not very correct, and these are implemented in DbContext itself.
Is using Uow and Repository an Anti-pattern?
You used the Meditor package with Uow. I wanted to know what is the advantage of this?
