Investigate using sphinx-gallery to include tutorial examples in docs #354
Description
Relating to discussion in #351 (comment), it might make sense to use sphinx-gallery for including examples / tutorials in documentation rather than plain reStructuredText source files (as for sampling scheme documentation being added in #351) or tutorial notebooks for which we currently use nbsphinx to include.
