i have a free place to stay in santa cruz, but would like to request support for airfare and per diem ($70/day for 4 days). airfare is a little complex because i will be coming from alaska and then need to head to green bay directly from the meeting to care for elderly parent. a pair of one-way tickets (ANC-SFO and SFO-GRB) currently comes out to be about $800, figure $1000 to be safe. SFO/santa cruz shuttles run $150-170 each way plus gratuity.

The Finance Committee met last week and approved the travel requests of @tepickering, @mwcraig, and @kelle. People whose requests were not funded were communicated with privately. Any new requests since last week will be approved at our next meeting.

I will be able to cover most of my travel costs from my research funding, but would like support to cover a part of the accommodation costs since the nightly rates are higher (nearly double) than what I'm allowed to book under Spanish academic rules. So, I request support for:
