Start workflow fails with an existing branch

Describe the bug
Trying to start workflow with an existing branch doesn't work although the page description says it is supposed to work.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Try starting to work on an atlassian issue using an exising branch
2. Click the button to use an existing branch
3. Click Start
4. See it fail with "branch exists"

Expected behavior
The branch is re-used.
