Assistant UI issues

• Drop shadow / lack of border is inconsistent with other UI elements (which have a 1px border and no shadow). This should be consistent / theme-driven.
• bg color in dark mode is barely lighter than the pure black bg.
• Text from resource link isn't rendered in markdown
