I really liked the way you structured your question and looked at a range of areas and species. The barplots of the results were a great way to quickly convey the main results. Also nice work on developing functions to do the work so that you could loop over regions and species!

Keep in mind that the forecasts are on the log scale so a MASE of 1 is a mean error that is 2.7x over or under the true non-logged value. MASE = 0.4 would be 1.5x over or under. It is interesting that the sockeye estimates were generally the worst (highest MASE). I am guessing that the ARIMA structure did not model the cycling well.
