How to see lyrics in Audacious?

Hi, first I'd like to apologize if this is a dummy question but I'm not familiar with computers. I have .FLAC files with same-named .LRC files but I don't know how to make Audacious shows the lyrics in the screen. I have .MP3 and .WAV files with their correspondents .LRC files too...

My set is Linux Mint 21.3 Virginia base: Ubuntu 22.04 jammy and I have Audacious 4.4.1. Even not sure if it is correct I have enabled the option "Plugin LIRC" in settings/plugins... I don't know if there is the right lyrics plugin installed.

Can somebody help?

The LIRC plugin is for infrared remote controls. See http://lirc.org

The lyrics plugin that can load local .lrc files is in the same "General" plugins section and is called "Lyrics". Within its settings you can toggle a checkbox whether to load lyrics from .lrc files.

That's the LRC format with tags for synchronisation and other details. Audacious, as far as I've seen in the source code, does not support such tags but only uses local .lrc files for providing lyrics as text.

so it's basicly just a txt reader ?

With a Qt based Audacious: In the Plug-ins section if you enable the Lyrics plug-in, a tools icon appears, which you need to click to display the plug-in settings.
With a GTK based Audacious: The "Settings" button is found below the list of plug-ins.

Where to find the plug-in settings differs depending on whether it's the Qt or GTK GUI of Audacious.
