Is there any way AT ALL to show Now Playing song in its playlist? #1600

One way is to "Stop", then "Play" again. That centers the playlist view on the currently selected track. |

Doesn't work while you are in another playlist :-(

I am incredibly impressed with how responsive the playlist view is in
Audacious... It has always been my favourite player under Linux, and played
my entire SACD rip collection (dsf) without plugins, or any hiccups.
Your suggestion doesn't even work when you are in the same playlist
either...

If you have multiple playlists, the playlist tabs and playlist manager plugin indicate which one is active (play icon or bold font). Select it and then press Escape to focus the current track. Do you want a command or hot key which does both? I'm not aware this is possible currently. |

What a convoluted series of events to do something that is built into all
music player software for over a decade...

Uh oh!
There was an error while loading. Please reload this page.

I have 6 or so playlists, some with 3000+ songs, and finding the now-playing song is near impossible. I really liked in Foobar2000 how you could double-click the status bar to quickly jump to now-playing song.
It sounds like there is no API which would allow this to happen? Anyone have any thoughts or a plugin?
