Wayback for WinAmp UI?

I recently moved to a Wayland system, and was sad to learn that the WinAmp UI mode of Audacious won't work on Wayland. Now I ain't no big city Linux lawyer, but could the Wayback project interject with a potential fix here? Just an idea. Thank you, and I yield the remainder of my time.

To run Audacious with the Winamp interface on Wayland you don't need Wayback. XWayland is totally sufficient.
Wayback is intended to run a full X11 desktop environment on Wayland, not a single application.

XWayland is already used by default since Audacious 4.4 if running on a Wayland system.
You can also set the backend manually via environment variables for GTK or Qt:

$ GDK_BACKEND=x11 audacious --gtk

$ QT_QPA_PLATFORM=xcb audacious --qt

Thank you for explaining this. I'm still new to Linux, and learning how things work. I got the Winamp mode to work, and am now very happy.
