Audacious 4.5.1

Hi everybody, I've just passed from a 4.3 version to the new 4.5.1 via the Ubuntu App Center. All seemed to work fine until I've connected my external hard disk that always worked and recognized by the previous issue. This new issue does not see this disk. On the computer the disk work fine (I can copy, paste, modify all files inside) but it is not seen/read/recognized by the new Audacious. I've tried into settings but, with my poor knowledge, I didn't get any result. Is there anyone that experienced this trouble? Is there anybody could help in solving the problem? Please consider I have only a poor knowledge of Linux/Ubuntu. Many thanks for your attention.

This can't be an issue within Audacious. Post screenshots of the file manager (where the disk is shown) and Audacious (where it is not shown).
I assume you mean the "File -> Open Files" dialog?

You need to click "Altre posizioni" as to access the T7 mount point.

Are you sure? Your T7 disk would be listed on the right half of that file explorer. That is also where you can open it. It's even possible to mount/unmount/eject it there.

If you installed the flatpak version, than Audacious can't see the real file system. It runs in a sandbox. That's why you don't see your T7 disk.

You can override this behavior and add the mount with this command:
flatpak override --user --filesystem=/media org.atheme.audacious

Just change /media to your mountpoint.

Then please tell more about how you mount your T7 disk and what the resulting mount path is. Your screenshots of the file explorer in Audacious only show your /home folder, and you haven't opened the "+ Altre posizioni" section. If you don't use that section, you need to look up T7's mount path manually. Often, it is a user specific folder below /run/media/USERNAME.

Again, none of your screenshots show where your T7 disk is mounted. Right-click on "T7" on the left side, choose "Proprietà". See where it's mounted. Then open that path within Audacious.

But perhaps the flatpak you're using doesn't work correctly. Wouldn't be the first time a flatpak fails.

I have done what you recommended to me. The external HD are under a folder named "media" in "other position" folder. Audacious did not see my "media" folder under "other position" You can also see my last picture sent. I have checked other solution with Google & Bing and I have found this command:
sudo snap connect audacious:removable-media
It looked impossible to me but I tried anyway. Bum, it worked. The media folder is now visible and it works fine as per previous Audacious release. Issue solved.
