Error 0x00000241: Windows Cannot Verify the Digital Signature for This File

I am encountering an issue while attempting to route the audio in different devices. The error dialog shows the following message:

Error code 0x00000241: Windows cannot verify the digital signature for this file. A recent hardware or software change might have installed a file that is signed incorrectly or damaged, or that might be malicious software from an unknown source.

How to fix this error and how to run this software smoothly?

I just came across this error as well. This is because of a driver signature error in latest Windows (10/11) updates and cannot be fixed even by executing the application as administrator. After searching I found EarTrumpet which does the same thing and is fully updated and compatible with Win11. It does not have a specific GUI, it's more like a complement/replacement to the built-in Sound settings accessible from the taskbar speaker icon.
