How to read logs recorded in databases

I want to have a CRUD operation to read audit logs captured into database. How cat I do it?
Actually I want to sign and hash logs in a different cryptography implementation. How can I customize this process?

What kind of cryptography do you want to use ?

I agree one functionality missing in audit4j is that there is no way to sign the records.
So there is no way to prove that the log has not been changed.
