Issue
-
When taking screenshots, Blur My Shell’s transparency/blur effects should be automatically disabled. These effects can expose parts of the wallpaper/behind windows (privacy concern) and often look visually messy in shared screenshots.
-
The transparency/blur should not be visible in screenshots at all.
-
Using fully opaque windows is a workaround, but it’s not equivalent to disabling the effect only at capture time and negatively impacts my desktop customisation.
Technical Note:
- Ensure compatibility with both GNOME Screenshot private and public APIs, including tools such as Gradia (Uses default gnome screenshot menu) and Flameshot (uses a custom menu making a white flash on screen).
