What's the status of this project?

With background updates not working (#107) this app is essentially useless, and I do not see any activity/commits since July 9, which is 5 weeks.

Why is Austria pushing advertisements for an app that seems abandoned and doesn't work as advertised?
Is there a process to help? Could we instead just switch to the german app which is maintained and works?

Generally sending pull requests is possible, I can merge them. That said it's quite tricky to work on and I haven't had much success in getting people to contribute.

As to why the background fetch is unreliable my understanding is that the logic for BatchDownloadScheduler.Timing is not sound and eventually it stops working.

Could we instead just switch to the german app which is maintained and works?

This is a question I cannot answer. Generally my understanding is that the German app until a few days ago also had similar issues.

At the moment there is no active development. As in official members I’m not sure who monitors this issue tracker other than me and @uluckas from accenture.

does this problem only happen on iOS or on android too?

(i've the suspicion there are similar problems on android, because i'm only now seeing one check entry just as i opened the app and the last check entry before now was from 1.10, which feels highly suspicious)
