Unit3d / Aither did not have the particular show in their database so it was brand new. When I added show it grabbed the TMDB/IMDB/TVMAZE metadata ids and set the release name to have the year in it, despite year not being allowed in Aithers TV naming guidelines (unless there's duplicate name shows which was not the case for this show)
Selecting 'Remove Year' flag in the release name options and resetting/refreshing metadata did not work at all.
The only workaround was:
- remove the whole series record from the history
- remove my tmdb api key
- re-add the show input and scan metadata
- add tmdb api key back into settings
- reset/rescan again
It seems like whatever metadata it picks up on the initial first scan is kept and theres no way to update the release name after that.
The initial scan (without TMDB api creds entered) gave me TVDB/IMDB/TVMAZE. If do the initial scan with the TMDB key already added it wont ever pull in TVDB, just only pulls in TMDB/IMDB/TVMAZE.
Running docker container on image:main tag FYI.
