Can this stream multi-segment like hyperserialesp32?

Ive just moved over from WLED on my new Ambilight project as it used a fair few LEDs (304 sk6812's) and i wanted to get faster refresh speeds. I setup HyperSerialESP32 but am missing the web interface (can never seem to tell if its flashed/booting properly because my lolin s2 mini clones are finicky) and simple current limiting settings available on WLED.

I know WLED does not support multi-segment over wifi but am unsure if it can do it on this build over usb?

For clarity im using the new multi-segment scheme pictured and the appended platformio.ini command for the 2nd segment (-DSECOND_SEGMENT_START_INDEX=152 -DSECOND_SEGMENT_DATA_PIN=18)

If you use 'ESPHome-Flasher' for flashing, you can usually see whether the board has been flashed or not.

Of course you can.
If look at the file 'platformio.ini' you edited, everything is going fine.
It remains to connect the first segment to pin-16, and the second to pin-18.

Sorry i may not have been very clear. I can use (-DSECOND_SEGMENT_START_INDEX=152 -DSECOND_SEGMENT_DATA_PIN=18) on HyperSerialWLED?

Unfortunately, the multi-segment mode is only supported with a wired connection (usb, spi).

I meant over USB. Seems to be working now. I struggled a little with the second segment for a bit because i was trying to define it in platformio.ini until i realised it was done on the GUI lol

I now have nice fast serial data AND dimming and current control :)

We are simply talking about two different multi-segment modes. The one implemented in WLED allows working with several strips of tape and, frankly, does not add anything useful. The multi-segment mode implemented by @awawa-dev in his driver allows to reduce the latency (by a factor of two) when working with a long tape with a large number of diodes.

For the 'esp32' board this is implemented in 'HyperSPI' and 'HyperSerialESP32'
