unclear what the latest stable version is without digging into the tags #1706

Describe the issue
Goal:
As a maintainer of some repositories which use several actions I want to quickly update all the actions my workflows use.
Problem:
When I initially visit the repo page for this action I don't see anything to indicate what the latest version I should be using actually is. Note that the version used in the examples doesn't tell me, those kinds of examples are very often out-of-date in other people's documentation so my prior belief must be that it could also be out-of-date here.
Proposal:
Adding a section at the top of the readme file with the current stable version clearly shown would help me a lot.
