Maintenance: Incorporate the SSM update workflow into the release pipeline.

Why is this needed?

We've been successfully running the SSM update workflow separately from our main pipeline. After several iterations the process has proven to be stable and reliable. It's now time to incorporate this workflow as a standard part of our release pipeline.
