If this is used in a CI/CD pipeline, there is no way to control updates to deployed code other than directly checking out a specific commit SHA.
Describe the feature you'd like
Start using a standard release process with semantic versioning to allow consumers to safely apply updates in a known way with checksums to validate released code.
