Test schedules work as expected in CI/CD

When we update our schedules it can be easy to miss mistakes that lead to them not working as intended.

Is it possible to setup tests to evaluate if schedules behave as expected, testing all of these quickly perhaps with mock events?

e.g.

EC2 instance is powered off at 10pm local time Monday
EC2 instance powers on at 6am Tuesday
EC2 instance powers off at 10pm Friday
EC2 instance does not power on on Saturday
EC2 instance does not power on on Sunday
EC2 instance does not power on specific Federal Holiday

Frustrated that have to wait and see if schedules work rather than test if they work in our CI/CD pipeline

Ability to easily setup tests to test that schedules work as expected. Don't deploy schedule updates or roll them back if tests fail

The CLI has a describe-schedule-usage command that may meet your need here, though it's not really designed for CI/CD flows. Perhaps you could help me make sure that I understand the problem correctly.

My understanding of the core problem is that it is difficult to confirm whether the schedule you have written matches the behavior you are trying to achieve. As such the most effective solution would be some way to better visualize schedules and their operations (whether that be a simulation, a visual schedule summary, or some other mechanism), rather than an automation hook that would allow CI/CD tools to check that a schedule matches certain conditions.
