Add Lambda trigger to S3 bucket

I am having an issue adding notifications to my S3 bucket(s). The approach I'm taking is that I have 3 stacks.

• One creates an IAM role that I will attach to my lambda later. To create the policy I use the following code (in Python)

aws_iam.ManagedPolicy(
        scope, id, managed_policy_name=id,
        statements=[aws_iam.PolicyStatement(
            effect=aws_iam.Effect.ALLOW,
            actions=["lambda:CreateFunction", "lambda:TagResource",
                     ...
                    "lambda:InvokeFunction",
                    ...],
            resources=["*"])])

• Another that creates the lambda that I want to trigger.
• Finally, one that creates the S3 bucket and adds the triggers.

However, when I try to deploy everything I am getting a Unable to validate the following destination configurations error. Any pointers on what I'm doing wrong or alternative approaches would be greatly appreciated.
