(aws-lambda-python): What is blocking this module leaving Alpha?

Apologies if this is already documented somewhere, but looking at issues, projects and discussion I cannot work out just what is blocking aws-lambda-python from becoming a stable module. I see that aws-lambda-nodejs has left Alpha and become Stable.
