code_build_clone_output isnt displaying full git clone

I have codestar service connection to my github repo and 'm trying to perform full git clone both my repo 1 and 2 as i put True in code_build_clone_output but when i look at the build log the command checkout tags says pathspec 'tags/0.1 did not match any files known to git and when i do ls -ltr i dont see the full git clone output only some of the files in the repo

i read the doc and thats what the doc says how i should do it if i want to do full git clone, it also says that i need to use codebuild action, dont know if thats the cause of the problem but then how do i pass that codebuild action to my command so i get the full git clone?
