Cross Account CDK Pipeline and Stack Outputs

Hello everyone,

im struggling to find a good solution for the following problem:

I have two accounts:
Account A, which should have a Route53 root domain like ilovecdk.com
Account B, which should have a subdomain like sub.ilovecdk.com

i want to setup the two accounts with a CDK pipeline. The workflow is:

1. create subdomain in Acc B
2. get the nameservers of the subdomain as stack output ( CfnOutput ) into a variable in CDK
3. pass the nameservers as Props into my Stack for Acc A
4. create the entries in the root domain

Number 2 is the point where im struggling. it seems that something like this is not so easily possible? cant i just grab the output and use it as variable? Should i use a custom resource and look it up in the other account?

Any help and fingerpoint in the right direction is appreciated!

solved it:

1. in account B: create subdomain and role for crossaccount access (acc A)
2. in account A: use AwsCustomResource with assumedRoleArn from account B and access route53
3. in account A: add the nameserver to the root domain
