Step Functions DSL

The step functions DSL is relatively new, so it shouldn't need major changes, but we should still review its current state and determine which changes are necessary for V2.

We have built a templating framework around the StepFunctionBuilder API.

We recently noticed the v1 version of this library is very out-of-date at this point and wanted to take advantage of the latest features of Step Functions. However, with the v1 sdk reaching end of support this year we assumed we just need to switch to v2. This lead me here to discover it's simply gone in v2, let alone up-to-date.

Are there any updates on this so we can plan what to do?

Status update about the StepFunctions DSL:

Currently, we have no plans to introduce additional functionality to the Java SDK 2.x to support programmatic workflow generation.

The recommendation for programmatic generation of workflows is to use AWS CDK. In the StepFunctions Developer Guide there's a tutorial showing how to: Using AWS CDK to create a Standard workflow in Step Functions.
