Question

Hi,

I'd like to ask where the Amazon Q plugin places its workspace index data if the indexing is triggered with the "@ workspace" chat reference? Also, is there a way to configure this location?

The reason I'm asking is that if it places it somewhere under the user's home directory then it's a problem, as in corporate environments the home directory is often on a network drive. Using it as an index or cache location can be very slow (we're talking about 10-50x slowdown!). Other plugins (such as the Windsurf AI plugin) provides a configuration option for changing the index location; also, the Amazon Q plugin for VS Code has it too.

Thanks!
