I wouldn't consider this a bug. In general I would avoid having a unit test that depends on the behavior of the logging emitted by a third party library. |

Continuing the discussion aws/aws-sdk-cpp#3404 here as suggested by sbiscigl.
In short, after upgrading our aws-cpp-sdk version to the tip of the main branch, in one build we started to see some new log messages from InitAPI() which were not there before and broke our unit tests, about files in /sys/devices/virtual/dmi (our Raspberry Pi box does not have such directory). The library seems to work fine, it's just the log messages.
The messages apparently come from
aws_system_environment_load_platform_impl()
inaws-sdk-cpp/crt/aws-crt-cpp/crt/aws-c-common/source/linux/system_info.c
which has the non-existing paths hard-coded. AFAIK not having these files in a Linux system is not an error, so lack of the should not be logged as errors, what do you think? Should I open a bug?Error messages in the log:
