Support for Spring Framework 7 and Spring Boot 4.

Hi Team,

Do you have any timelines for Milestone/RC versions with support for Spring Framework 7 and Boot 4? I've been doing some early testing with spring framework 7.0.0-M9, and boot 4.0.0-M3 and we ran into some compatibility problems with spring-cloud-aws.

No timelines but we are about to release 4.0 M1 compatible with Spring Framework 7.0 soon.

Hello,

I have opened PR and migrated everything to support jackson 3 and 2.

After other maintainers go through it, I will rewrite docs and we are ready for 4.0.0-M2 release.

There are couple more features I will add to 4.0.0-M2, but if all goes good release should be in following weeks.

Will publish roadmap once I align with others.

We wanted to make sure SQS integration is easy to set up if you have Jackson 3 and Jackson 2 on classpath, but want to use Jackson 2!

Hi, amongst other dependencies, we're using org.springframework.modulith:spring-modulith-bom and org.eclipse.angus:jakarta.mail on our own projects. Any good reason these dependencies (and other non-aws related stuff) are declared in ?

Also, waiting the final release, does staying on 3.4.2 prevent us migrating to Spring Boot 4 ?

Currently waiting to see community feedback on 4.0.0-M1 , but so far so good and we intend to do the release soon.

Hey @jjlharrison this is already solved in 4.0.0-M1

Since version 1.21.x is deprecated, moving onwards from 4.0.0 versions we don't intend to support with @ServiceConnection annotation support.

Only 2.x.x of Testcontainers and LocalstackContainer will be supported.
