SPARQL endpoint specificity

Why is this Wikidata specific? Shouldn't it just work with any SPARQL endpoint e.g., DBpedia and others?

This is currently Wikidata specific because I only wrote adapter for WikiData. WIkiData has a really good entity search which resolves strings to entity IDs. I found DBPedia's equivalent entity search performed a lot worse so I only stuck with WikiData for now. I have implemented the DBPedia adapter and this maybe something I will add if I have time.

Do you have an example of the entity search you attempted against
DBpedia? All you have to do is reply with the query or reply with a
SPARQL Query Results link.
