When running the current GhostBSD-26.1-R15.0p2-02-27-13.iso, a Firefox window spans all monitors when set to fullscreen in a mulitple-monitor setup.

Steps to reproduce

1. Run the live GhostBSD-26.1-R15.0p2-02-27-13.iso.
2. Don't touch any X11 configuration.
3. Open Firefox.
4. Set the window to fullscreen.
5. The window spans all screens in a multiple monitor setup.

What did you expect?

The full screen window should just span the current monitor.

I think it would also be interesting what Free-/GhostBSD 14.* with XLibre 25.0.* and/or 25.1.* does. That way we would be able to identify any changes in the underlying software stack like the kernel.

I installed the XLibre Xserver 25.1.2 and the 25.0.* drivers on the newest GhostBSD 14.3 MATE live ISO and fullscreen windows still span all monitors. Will test in 14.3 with XFCE and if this shows the same symptoms, I'll call in the XLibre devs to look into this.

I've tested setting a window to fullscreen on GhostBSD-26.1-R15.0p2-03-02-15-XFCE.iso and that's the result:

So in general, fullscreen works on XLibre 25.1.0, Xfce 4.20, and GhostBSD 26.1R15p2.

Nevertheless, I noticed something a little strange: when I start Live ISO for the first time, background images are displayed on the desktop for both monitors, but I can only set the windows to full screen on the main monitor. I can also only move the windows to a small extent onto the second monitor, but never completely and never freely. It's as if the second monitor is not available in the overall area.

I can solve this problem by going to the Xfce display settings, slightly changing the arrangement of the monitors, and clicking “Apply.” After that, the windows can be placed on all monitors. Even when rearranging the monitors to the old layout, everything works perfectly.

I will test Xfce on GhostBSD 25.02-R14.3p2 to see if this glitch also exists in Xorg.

The driver uninstalled at boot up is likely GhostBSD's xconfig removing things like virtualbox (when it's not going to be used) that is just part of what the livecd does with the xconfig service. On a related note Eric is going to add something to remove scfb when intel, amd are used, I believe.

I solved this issue issue by removing the xlibre-xf86-video-scfb driver and logging out and in again to the desktop environment. Both MATE and Xfce now work as expected using the correct "output" = monitor geometry and keeping the fullscreen windows on the respective monitor only. The error described in #35 (comment) is also gone.
