Extension not working at Brave 1.77.97 Chromium: 135.0.7049.84 / official / 64-bit

Different version affected than #384, but same observed issue. Extension doesn't get tabs list, and doesn't provide a count of tabs

As I updated to Brave 1.77.97 Chromium: 135.0.7049.84 (Official Build) (64-bit), the extension no longer reports tab counts. I haven't been using the quick search since chrome sherlocked the feature, but I consider an at-a-glance tab count an essential part of my workflow.

Works in the latest Brave for me. You could try to reinstall the extension or try a clean profile.
