Add time-tracking functionality

Would be fantastic if Fizzy let you track how long you spent working on a card, and also let you easily see a report of how much time you’ve spent working in a day/week/month/year.

Hi all Fizzy users!

Fizzy is simple in the best way: it keeps you moving. But for freelancers and small teams, I think there’s one missing piece. You can’t capture the reality of “how long this took” without breaking your flow and jumping to another tool, which is a hassle.

This isn’t about billing or policing time. It’s about calibration:

• For the team: It answers the critical question: Did we stay within our appetite? It closes the feedback loop on whether a “small batch” project actually stayed small.
• For individuals: It’s a personal reality check. It helps you track where your day actually went versus where you thought it would go.

The Problem

We all have the same 24 hours. It would be great to see where that time goes in the context of Fizzy cards.

• How long did this task actually take?
• How much time did I spend on this project as a whole?

These are questions that would be valuable to answer directly in Fizzy to boost personal productivity and reflection, without needing complex external integrations.

Proposal: Manual Time Logging

Instead of real-time timers or complex billing modules, I suggest a simple retrospective approach.

1) Data Entry (the “Input”)

Action: Add a “Log time” button to the card detail.
UI: A minimal modal/popover asking for:

• Duration: Minutes (integer).
• Date: Defaults to Today (format: YYYY-MM-DD).
• Note: Optional short text.

2) Visibility (the “View”)

Card face: Show a subtle badge with the total time (e.g., ⏱ 4h) to visualize effort at a glance.
- Condition: Only visible if total time > 0.

Card detail: Make totals and entries accessible without clutter:

• Add a ⏱ 4h item in the card’s meta row (near “Added / Updated / Assignee”).
• Clicking it opens a Time Modal showing:
  • Total time sum.
  • List of entries (Date, User, Duration, Note).
  • Actions per entry via a ⋯ menu: Edit / Delete.
• Permissions: Only the author can edit or delete their time entries.

3) Global Export (the “Output”)

We don’t need a new “Reports” dashboard. We just need to get the data out.

Location: On the main “Activity across all boards” screen (Home).
UI: Add a secondary button “Export timesheet” next to the existing “Add a board” button.
Export on Home uses the current Home filters (all boards / everyone).
Action: Generate a CSV containing all time entries (Date, User, Board, Card name, Card column, Duration, Note). This allows users to filter by board or date in their spreadsheet software.
Duration should be in minutes (integer).
Permissions: Same as cards. If you can see the card, you can see (and export) all time entries on it.

4) No-gos (Explicitly out of scope)

• No timers / start–stop / running state. Retrospective manual logging only.
• No billing features. No hourly rates, invoicing, or billable flags.
• No reporting UI. No charts or in-app summaries. CSV export only.
• No approvals. No manager sign-offs.
• No estimates vs. actuals.

Why I think this feature fits Fizzy

Philosophy: It’s about insight. It’s useful. It’s simple.
Simplicity: Manual logging only, with a lightweight export.

Acceptance Criteria

• User can manually log time on a card.
• Total time is summed and visible on the card face.
• User can edit/delete their time entries.
• A global CSV export button is available on the Home screen.
