So you know, Omarchy is a popular theme of Hyprland desktop environment built on Arch Linux, you can change the desktop environment from Hyprland to anything else, or change the theme settings. Pop!_OS is a completely different system on top of the Linux kernel, so there will be a lot under the hood that works differently, but it does have an interesting tiling solution. Bazzite for gaming is as good as it gets for compatibility (Windows not included), but in my opinion if you're using Bazzite for gaming you may as well use it as your main desktop as well, maybe install Hyprland DE as a second DE instead of a whole other boot OS. I hope this helped :) |

Hi all,
I am new to linux. I have had Ubuntu for a bit and wanted to try Omarchy because of the youtubers raving about it.
I love the idea behind it but I am finding it super buggy on my system. Sometimes vscode, figma, whatsapp apps crash. Sometimes steam launches games and then i cant exit them. I have had freezing. gaming performance degradation and other issues.
I have the latest omarchy updates, latest nvidia drivers and not sure what else to do.
I am wondering if there is a distro out there that is better suited for me - i do some gaming and I code.
Maybe I dual boot with Windows Tiny or Bazzite for gaming and Omarchy for work.
I have a Ryzen 7 cpu, nvidia 1050TI, ultra wide monitor
