What's wrong?

This happens frequently. Like every 5,10 min or so.
My laptop automatically disconnect WiFi. Not like it turns it off -- WiFi get disconnected.

I have checked it with other WiFi to see if its my router issue but it wasn't as problem was same with that WiFi also.

Not sure if this is your case, but I had exactly this problem some time ago on my Debian box.

It turned out to be the power saving feature that would just disconnect regularly after a couple of minutes to save power.

You might also wanna search the internet for issues with your specific Wi-Fi module.

though it does not frequently disconnect WiFi like i mentioned earlier. but WiFI get disconnected automatically. That is my condition, I can't tell if power mode impacted anything or not. I did it ages ago.

Another thing you could try is used wpa_supplicant instead of iwdfor the backend.

I found a solution.

I actually had an problem where WiFi automatically gets disconnected frequently and Bluetooth audio flickering.
Spoiler: This is the first time i have watched 14min long video on my earbuds without any flicker.

Also it was my wrong to tweak parameters on /etc/NetworkManager/conf.d/wifi-powersave.conf while my laptop was using systemd-networkd instead of NetworkManager.

ISSUE

WiFI Issue: I was getting Deauthentication event, reason: 4 (Inactivity). due to which my wifi card was going to sleep to save power.

Bluetooth Issue: my wifi card was constantly scanning for better network. And i got to know that WiFi and Bluetooth share the same antenna (especially on 2.4GHz), every time iwd scans, it cuts off the Bluetooth signal, causing the flickering/stuttering.

SOLUTION:

1. Created a file, sudo nano /etc/iwd/main.conf

and pasted this

[General]
# Disable aggressive roaming to stop background scanning
EnableNetworkConfiguration=true
RoamThreshold=-100

[Network]
# I changed it to true.
EnableIPv6=true

[Scan]
# Prevent constant scanning while connected
DisablePeriodicScan=true

this configuration was generated by Gemini pro. Worked!
