Another cool addition would be to have the QL_VNIR.TIF they provide, for example through something like ds.plot_rgb(). At the moment I’m using my own quick-and-dirty functions, but it’s quite time-consuming to build an RGB from reflectance. Having this available directly would be really helpful

This should not be too hard to implement (and we may as well include the QL_SWIR data as well). The quicklook TIFFs share the spatial dimensions of the full reflectance data but naturally have only three bands each. This could be handled with an open_datatree implementation, with the common spatial dimensions inherited from a parent node. See also #2 , which would also involve a DataTree. Combining both, we'd have a three-level tree: archive – product (lat/lon dimensions, contains quality variables) – dataset (QL or full; inherits lat/lon and adds a band dimension).
