[Feature Request] Add Wonderful Icons and Badges Lovingly Hand-crafted by @simonprovost

This feature request is a gentle reminder to add @beartype-friendly SVG icons and badges lovingly hand-crafted by @simonprovost to:

• This repository! Yes, please.
• Our official documentation... somewhere. Perhaps a new FAQ entry? Perhaps somewhere else? I am open to all ideas, especially including bad ideas. Those are my favourite.

@simonprovost's superb work can be sampled at this sadly closed external thread on the @simpleicons issue tracker – especially this comment and this comment.

Thanks so much for your infectious enthusiasm for the QA Bear, Provost Simon! Truly, you are the arch-chancellor of icons. Let's make this happen sometime this summer. Everyone deserves an SVG Bear Badge in their lives. 🥰 🐻

Now that you @leycec sort of have almost all rights towards how that badge will appear, maybe it's time to brainstorm some nice, crazy smooth badges, right? I mean, why stay standard?

Let's see your thoughts, and maybe some nice drawing-skilled peeps of the community will pop around!

...that looks super-hot. It's mostly just lacking a leftmost @beartype icon. Otherwise, your badge exudes flat super-pro graphic design vibes. I lovin' it. 💌

Gods. That's so hokey, yet so lowkey cute. The:

• Okay hand emoji 👌 is just ridiculous in this context. Perhaps... we could all do without that okay hand emoji. 😆
• The needless ™ is also pretty hokey, but not nearly as cute. That's also really gotta go.
• The "Bear-ified" text is fairly inspired, but perhaps less explanatory. It definitely doesn't fit as well with the rest of your badges. "COMPLIANT" is pretty authoritative. Hard to argue with "COMPLIANT", which brings to mind machine collectives like the Borg, the Cylons, and the Daleks. @beartype now joins their illustrious ranks. Are you... "COMPLIANT", human? 🤖

I feel like a need a business suit to warrant that sort of stringent legalese.

Loving the thoughts of yours on all that ahahah! I guess compliant is simply as I did not know what else to put 👀 The shields badge are great cuz they are rather big for badges, hence we see them well but yeah we'll not be able to use them correct? Unless we can put ourselves a svg icon?

You're absolutely right, Simon. Sorry. I... was trying to be funny and failing. GitHub comedy. It's rough stuff. If I had a tomato for every time someone tried to throw a tomato at me on GitHub, I'd be eating pasta right now. 🍝

"Compliant" is a wonderfully appropriate noun, of course. It's succinct; it's descriptive; it accurately conveys that @beartype is measuring compliance with PEP standards. Let's run with that for the official badge – exactly like your superb UrbanMapper badge. 👍

How about using an outline design like the Ollama:

We all need more @LitoMore in our lives. He's right. The above SVG is almost like the Ollama. It's just got a bit more shoulder and leg than the Ollama. Perhaps we could reduce your phenomenal SVG work to just the "head of the bear" by cropping out (i.e., removing):

• The leftmost line segment comprising the shoulder of the bear.
• The lower-right line segment comprising the leg of the bear.

I feel bad now. I could have launched Inkscape and hacked around for five minutes with a sweaty forehead and saved you the unpleasantness. Sadly, I typed out a monologue instead. 🤕
