beet import results in illegal characters in dir name

Running beets on arch linux fully updated.
Using replace as described in the documents.
Error occurs on importing the CD:
Verdi; Andrea Bocelli, Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, Zubin Mehta - Verdi (Philips logo on back cover)

The CD is listed in musicbrainz:

Resulting in an illegal dir name.

beet import tagging using asciify_paths: true:
The dir name was changed to:
Giuseppe Verdi; Andrea Bocelli, htzmvrt hpylhrmvnyt hySHrAlyt, Zubin Mehta

Resulting in a legal directory, but not what you want.

beet list Israel yields no results.

How should we import music by the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra?

Manually solved by using asciify_paths: true and
beet edit -a path:/path/to/cd
and carefully (DEL acted like Backspace) replacing spaces with the correct text.
I could not find a way to automatically import this CD.
