Suggestion about Phanary

   So your tool is AWESOME, but if I could use it to mix together one repeating set and then download it to use on Foundry VTT... That would be beyond cool.

Hi! Thanks for reaching out. I'd never heard of Foundry VTT before, looks awesome!

I'm hesitant to commit to working on an integration for any one particular system, but I'd love to add features that could be useful to people who use this, or Roll20, or any other virtual tabletop tool as well.

What kind of features would you hope to get out of a Foundry VTT integration?
Off the top of my head I could see:

• Multiplayer support over the internet
• Nice to not have to switch windows to pause/play/transition/tweak stuff
• anything else?

Oh, great! glad to introduce you. I hear you, but what I want is to assemble the mixes into WAV files that I can download onto my computer without any other software. I imagine that's... difficult. Out of foundry integration I'd be able to play your sounds clean through the vtt. That's pretty much it, but could get the same basic approach with the above idea.

Oh interesting!! Yeah I was misunderstanding. I could see that "mix & export" feature being really useful.
Realistically, it could take me a while to work out the legal ramifications (given that I don't own the sounds), and then the technical implementation itself is tricky.
I can't realistically promise this will get done any time soon since I'm maintaining/upgrading this in my free time, but I love the idea and I'll put it on the "when time permits" features list.

I stumbled across Phanary just a couple days ago - with an eye towards a soundboard module for Foundry VTT (as well)

Might be out of Scope for Phanary itself - but a Foundry VTT module that talks back to Phanary (pulls and updates playlists) might be an interesting project to be able to import Foundry VTT Playlists from Phanary and have a Phanary type soundboard in VTT.

Dependency on that would be some sort of user database/api that saves serves up that playlist data via a API key.
So a system route that is like /system/getuserplaylists returns back what Phanary has saved for playlist content and imports it (plays it) via Foundry VTT.

Lot of rework as those lists are stored currently in localstorage (looks like) and there is no user database implemented.

As far as content itself - I would suggest going to a no hosted content solution. Let the user's find hosting (Foundry already hosts content and can serve the files) and they just put in urls to the content. (e.g. users could directly link to the audio files hosted on github below) Nothing gets hosted your side and you use freesound, github sources, etc...

Being the maintainer of https://github.com/datdamnzotz/FoundryVTT-Game-Audio-Bundle-1 2,3,4 I was looking for a better way to present the audio files in Foundry VTT via some sort of mixing board type interface. It just might do the trick with some collaboration.
