Question: stripped down/open fork? #192

Hi, thanks for the excellent work on bringing this app into the present day. I'm something of a novice when it comes to this stuff, but I had a question. How difficult would you imagine it would be to fork this project and strip it of it's connection to the bookshare service and it's built-in TTS software. Unfortunately, the current iteration of this app is not compatible with the still-maintained/open sourced TTS+ Plugin by Hyperionics (https://github.com/gregko/TtsPlus-FBReader) which offers far more customization. It'd also be a wish to see such a fork made available in the F-Droid free software repository as there lacks decent open-source alternatives since the master branch has gone paid.
