Android app switches blackbox debug mode to vtx_tramp

Describe the bug

Quad firmware: Betaflight 4.5 (all sub versions)
Web app version: 2025.12.0-beta
PC: 10.10.0
Android configurator 10.10.0-debug-c97deaf on Android 15 on Samsung Galaxy S23

On several quads I turned on blackbox logging to troubleshoot some issues and had set debug mode to "FFT_FREQ" in order to see the dynamic notch filters in PID Toolbox. I did that on the computer with the web app.

Then, when in the field and checking the Blackbox status with my phone I saw an all quads that debug mode switched by itself to "VTX_TRAMP".

Because I wanted to turn off logging, I switched that and saved.
Later on the PC the mode was now also on VTX_TRAMP

What I later tried:

• When not changing or saving anything on the mobile app it will switch back to FFT_FREQ on the PC.
• When manually switching the mode from VTX_TRAMP to FFT_FREQ and saving, it will be VTX_TRAMP again on mobile. (again, if you don't save it, it will be FFT_FREQ again on PC)
• When VTX_TRAMP was saved, so it appears on PC as well as mobile, then on mobile switching it to FFT_FREQ and saving -> on PC it will be FFT_FREQ, but on mobile it will appear again as VTX_TRAMP
• I tried a different debug mode, too, and the same behaviour happened with "GYRO_SCALED"

To Reproduce

1. Set blackbox debug mode to GYRO_SCALED or FFT_FREQ on PC.
2. Check debug mode on Android app 10.10 debug

Expected behavior

the debug mode of the blackbox should stay on the mode it was set to on the PC

• Configurator does not change any modes except updating fields for ATTITUDE and GPS_RESCUE_THROTTLE_PID
• When using latest firmware it would remove and update debug modes and would no longer be compatible with older configurator versions.

How do you use the configurator on mobile?! I can't, and it's driving me crazy because i never know how to configure drones in the field without a PC...When I connect the FC I don't get the request to access the USB port and don't buy me any device...

Does your smartpone support USB OTG? Do you use a USB OTG adapter? Does it work with other devices like a external SSD, USB stick, a keyboard or mouse etc?

• For in-the-field tuning, prefer OSD Menu. It does not have "everything", so setup on PC, then tune in field.
• Lua script on radio is also available, but i dont think it is updated for 4.6 yet.
• For mobile devices, OTG-cable was always required.
• 4.6.x (a.k.a 2025.12.xx) requires https://app.betaflight.com/ , which does not work on all android versions and has caveats for those that it does.
• Bluetooth maybe possible, but that is not completed either if i recall correctly.

Best options are PC + OSD

I'm unable to reproduce the O.P. issue with several attempts (PC only) -- maybe either the PC version or the android version is not updated on your device(s).

Is there a way or an intermediary app that allows me to add USB recognition support? Or one of those Android phones where I used to use the mobile/web configurator app without any problems.but with the new changes it doesn't work in some ways and I'm greatly missing the old convenience of configuring all the Betaflight settings on the field... So So much so that I feel like switching back to Betaflight version 4.5 or 4.4 which at least could be configured without a PC or with the SpeedyBee Adapter... Thanks
