Reinstall Herd does not import Valet sites

Installed Herd today and was very happy: finally no more fiddling with whatever it is Homebrew is doing.
However, a WP multisite install did not work correctly, subsites were not loading any JS or CSS. Reading here that custom Valet drivers should get migrated on first onboarding (V1.1) and that apparently the format for these has changed somewhat, wanted to uninstall and reinstall Herd as explained here.

Since then, no matter what I tried, Herd has never again imported my Valet sites – it does show the sites paths, but zero sites.
Switching back to Valet: all ~30 WP sites are still here (phew!), and working, as is multisite.

Update: restarting the MacBook finally made Herd to fully reinstall.
Manually copying the ~/.config/valet/Drivers folder to ~/Library/Application Support/Herd/config/valet/ made WP Multisite work correctly (WordPressMultisiteSubdirectoryValetDriver.php is still using
namespace Valet\Drivers\Custom; use Valet\Drivers\BasicValetDriver; class WordPressMultisiteSubdirectoryValetDriver extends BasicValetDriver , not any newer format).
