Customizable Search Engine

I think it would be great to be able to customize the search engine used to get the definitions from and in the link of the 'More' button.

Could you list a few benefits of selecting the search engine? And what is lacking in the current implementation?

We currently only use two search engines in a fallback pattern, i.e. if the first lookup fails, then we try the next. Adding more search engines will put more maintenance burden on us, which, I don't think is worth it.

Oh, I see. I simply prefer to use a more privacy conscious search engine than Google. I understand changing the source search engine could be quite maintenance heavy, but could the 'More' button be customized to search through DuckDuckGo or even Wiktionary instead?

Okay, I can add that.

Regarding privacy: no cookies or user identifiable credentials are sent with the lookup requests. So that's a bit of a relief, I guess.
