Port refuses to run

Port completely refuses to start with the GOG version. I tried reinstalling the game on GOG end, and it happens exact same way with Win32 and Win64 version.

I'm running latest version of Windows 10 64bit.

All versions up to 1-2-12 show this message, versions including and below that (including version I last had installed) show [CRITICAL][MAIN]Content Not Found error as seen in #436
This occurs regardless of where the executable is placed (outside or inside the Blake Stone installation folder).

On Windows the port can detect installed GOG or Steam version of games.

If it can't that means:

• there are no required files (*.BS1, *.BS6 or *.VSI) in the working directory.
• at least one of the required file is modified.

Do you get the same error if you put the port along side with *.BS1 / *.BS6 / *.VSI files?

Can confirm that it doesn't work with the latest GOG install.

Installed both thru GOG Galaxy and using backup installer... also putting the bstone.exe in the folder

I encounter the same issue on macOS when starting the binary from a symlinked location. the current path should be where all the files are, I think.

I checked the GoG version of AoG for any files that are .bs1 .bs6 or .vsi. The GoG version of AoG only has .bs6 files. PlanetStrike only has .vsi files.

Trying to run this source port with bstone.exe within the GoG folder produces the same error above. If you have both AoG and Planetstrike installed, it only runs PlanetStrike regardless of where you put the file.

One thing to note for anyone else checking here, you can revert AoG to the original version that still works in GoG Galaxy. Go to Manage Installation -> Configure and change it back to Version 1.0

This will restore the *.vsi files and allow the port to function correctly.

Another options is to grab the Linux version, which appears to package the v1.0 files, and unzip the "shell script" with your favorite program.

Confirmed, downgrading the GOG version to 1.0 did succesfully work.

Unfortunately file VSWAP.BS6 was altered in the latest GOG update.
The port requires unmodified base files (.BS1/.BS6/*.VSI).
