Currently, logic for T1w brain extraction (if necessary) involves conditional use of ROBEX, ANTs N4, and FSL, depending on what steps are required. If SynthStrip is available (which it will be in the container environment, which will be all but compulsory with 0.7.0), that might be the better option.
