from experience its just a few seconds... I do agree that landing on home and seeing those 0s is not good even if its a few seconds to see the numbers moving up. Overlay is too invasive I think, user can still have a look and whats avail for them in the app. How about showing a spinner on top / next to the numbers (and also in the offers screen) to hint the user things are loading / syncing |

@jigglypuff-bsq spinner looks good is the std we use, but the animation pushing the content with animation looks a bit odd to me at least.. how about spinner on top? |

Currently a first time user will see 0 offers until those are loaded. This can take up to a few minutes in slow tor cases. Usually ist just 30 sec or so. We should show an overlay while the num offers is 0 to tell user to be patience until offer have been loaded from the network.
