RFC: Convert the project to Kotlin?

This is mostly a Request For Comment.

What about converting the project to use Kotlin instead of Java? I have heard good thing about Kotlin and it now seems to be the recommended language for Android development. Android Studio seems to have a way to convert Java to Kotlin so it would be an easy way to get started.

Do you have any opinion on that @fredg02 ?

Android Studio can port java code to kotlin. It's very similar to swift and therefore code portation between those two projects can be done much more easily.
