Recall specific Snippet

Hello. 

I would really like to have a feature where I can recall a specific Snippet. 
there is no nice way to do this now.. you have to make a snapshot and then assign the Snippet to that snapshot, but I want to be able to recall a specific snippet no matter what snapshot I'm in.
