Can dataview display the list serial number?

The dataview list starts with a dot, can it be changed to a numeric display? For example, turn the dot at the beginning of the following figure into a number 123

Hmm I imagine this would need a change in the renderer as well as a sort of flag on the DQL side. Can you convert this into a feature request?
