(Newbie) Task and Table

Sorry all, newbie here.

Is there a way to have both a table AND a task?

I am using a dataview table on my "homepage" to show homework assignments that are due this week. I want to try and add in a task bubble to click instead of always going to the file and adding "done" to the title.

Unfortunately there isn't. You'll have to use TASK FROM SOURCE type queries to get the interactive task lists.
